Parental concerns have recently been heightened by the rapid development of technology. Many children have known the internet from an early age, allowing them to have access to sites that may be harmful to their development.
To overcome this, a search site, Kiddle.com recently launched. Kiddle aims to be like Google Search, but is devoted to children. With search results that are filtered, so children will only go to 'safe' sites and sites written in plain language.
Kiddle is not Google's official product, but the company uses a customized Google search to deliver child-friendly results. Kiddle uses the color of Google, it just does not use a white background, but uses a theme-themed color that is perfect for children.
The search results have been adjusted. The top three results will show sites that are completely safe and child-specific, while the fourth and so on regular sites have been filtered and using simple language.
